Customer Care

Shipping Rates:  Shipping is determined AFTER your order has been received. White Mountain Soap & Bath currently use this method with phone and email orders. We send a confirmation email stating how much actual shipping rates are and which shipping method will be used.

Returns: All sales are final; we do not accept returns unless your order arrives damaged. There are no exceptions. If your order arrives damaged, you must call us immediately (928-358-1975). Damaged claims must be made within three working days of your receipt of your order. Please call to receive an authorization for the return. Your damaged items along with the shipping box must be returned to us with in seven (7) working days of authorization. Please include a copy of the invoice with the return authorization number written on it. Returns made after the seven days will be refused and no credit given. Unauthorized or late returns will be discarded and no credit issued.

To insure that damaged items do not arrive to you, please select a shipping method that includes insurance. Damaged or defective items will be replaced with the same product, if available. If the product is not available, we will issue a credit to your credit card used on the order. If a money order was used, we will issue you a refund check within two weeks of receiving the damaged goods.

Backorders: While we make every effort to keep all of items in stock, we do occasionally run out of items. White Mountain Soap & Bath does not usually backorder items. We will make every attempt to contact you if we have a backorder situation. If we cannot reach you, and an item is out of stock when we receive your order, we will adjust your invoice to reflect the proper product total and shipping cost and credit your account on file.

Discontinued Items: Is there an item that we've previously carried that you want to purchase? Write to us about it using our convenient Contact Form. We may be able to special order small amounts just for you or direct you to a new supplier. Special orders will be charged a 15% processing fee.

Payment methods: We accept Visa and MasterCard, as well as money orders and bank checks. We do not accept personal checks. Personal and business checks will be voided and returned to the address given on the order. The order will also be cancelled.

You are welcome to call in your orders to our distribution center at 928-358-1975. We are currently at our retail shop from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. (MST) Tuesday thru Saturday, except holidays, but feel free to leave a message if you get our secure voice mail. Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) does not observe daylight savings time so please adjust your time accordingly.

BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ADDRESS! If the package is sent out with the uncorrected address, and it is returned to us, you will be held responsible for the reshipping costs after we have contacted you for the correct address.

Credit Cards: As noted, we accept Visa and MasterCard. If your card is declined we will not ship until the payment has cleared. If your card is declined, there will be a $1.00 charge added to your invoice. If we need to restock your order (because it has been packed to get exact shipping charges), there is a 15% restocking fee. We do not restock your orders without first trying to contact you via phone or e-mail at least 3 times over a period of four weeks.

For credit and debit card payments: please ensure that the billing address you give to us is the same address as on your card statement.

White Mountain Soap & Bath has no minimum order. We accept orders via our online shopping cart, telephone, and walk-in orders at our retail shop.

White Mountain Soap & Bath processes orders on a first-come, first-served basis. Your order will be processed and shipped within 3 business days of receipt of payment. We do not ship “on approval”, Nor do we ship orders COD. Payment must be received before orders are shipped. We also do not ship internationally.

ADDITIONS TO ORDERS: If you need to add more than 4 items to an existing order, please place a new order. If you need to add 4 items or less, please email wmsb@cableone.net.

CANCELLATIONS FOR ORDERS NOT YET PACKED: All such cancellations will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Please email your cancellation request so you will have proof. Our website charges your credit card immediately upon order placement. Credits for cancelled orders will be processed within 3 business days of the time we receive a cancellation request and not sooner.

CANCELLATIONS FOR ORDERS ALREADY PACKED: If the products in the order total less than $200, you will be charged a 15% restocking charge on the cost of the products along with the $10 cancellation fee. If the products in the order total $200.01 or more, a 25% restocking charge will apply on the cost of the products. Credits for cancelled orders will be processed within 3 business days of the time we receive a cancellation request and not sooner.

CANCELLING ITEMS FROM AN ORDER: You may email us to remove certain items from your order. We'll do our best to comply IF the order is not yet packed or has not been shipped. Email us at wmsb@cableone.net and include the order number. Once an order is packed we cannot make any changes to the order. Please note that if you remove a number of items from a yet unpacked order, which will greatly impact the dollar amount of the order, we will charge a $10 cancellation fee to remove any items from the order.

SPECIAL ORDERS: Custom orders requiring custom materials, such as fragrance oils, may require a 3-4 week lead time. We charge up to 100% of the sales price prior to filling a special order/request. The shipping cost must be paid before shipment of the order will occur.

BULK ORDERS: Some bulk orders require a lead-time. We will inform you of any lead-time at the time you request a quote or place your order. We charge 50% of the sales price at the time you place your order. The balance due plus shipping must be paid before shipment of the order will occur.

WHOLESALE ORDERS: We gladly accept wholesale orders. Please call for pricing and amounts that need to be purchased. If in Arizona, we need a copy of your transaction tax license so that tax will not be added to your order. This is for all persons that want to resell our product within Arizona. Outside of Arizona, we gladly accept your wholesale orders. Just call us for prices.

SHIPPING POLICY: White Mountain Soap & Bath ships via United Parcel Service (UPS) or United States Postal Service (USPS) within the 48 contiguous US states, HI, AK, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. We DO NOT ship internationally at this time. Please do not ask us to do so. If this changes at some time, we will put a notice on the homepage. White Mountain Soap & Bath will NEVER ship via USPS parcel post. This shipping method usually results in damages and late deliveries. Please do not ask us to ship parcel post. We ship only via USPS Priority Mail and United Parcel Service (UPS).

INSURANCE: If you choose a shipping method that does not automatically include insurance, White Mountain Soap & Bath is not liable for any damages that may be inflicted by the shipper. The purchaser is responsible for choosing the shipping method and for the level of insurance purchased, if any, on a per order basis. PRICES: While we do our best to make sure the correct price of our items are on our website, we reserve the right change prices. We reserve the right to change prices on our products at any time without notice. You, the customer has the right to ask us to remove the product from your order if the price is not agreeable; we will issue a credit against the credit card used. After the order is shipped, all sales are final.

SAFETY DISCLAIMER: While White Mountain Soap & Bath provides descriptions of its ingredients and supplies on its website, it cannot and will not guarantee the accuracy of information provided to the customer via all methods of communication: phone, email, fax, letters, and in person. It is the customer's responsibility to conduct appropriate research on the use and safety of each item. The contents of our catalog and website have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. We do not make any cosmetic claims to our products as well.

By purchasing and using products sold by White Mountain Soap & Bath, you agree that (1) you will not hold White Mountain Soap & Bath liable for any incidents or complications which may result from your storage and/or use or misuse of the products; (2) you will assume all product liability for the final products/creations which you create with products purchased from White Mountain Soap & Bath; (3) you understand that numerous essential and fragrance oils can be poisonous and/or fatal if ingested; (4) you understand that our cosmetic-grade fragrance oils are synthetic and are not meant for ingestion; (5) you will use common sense when using any of our products and/or raw materials; (6) our products are intended for adult use only and are not appropriate for children; and (7) products which may be dangerous or which may be ingested or inhaled by a child, a mentally handicapped person, the elderly (including persons with Alzheimer's) or pets will be stored safely away from those persons or pets.

SALES TAX: Our shopping cart will charge Arizona residents 8.6% sales tax. If you enter your AZ sales tax certificate number in the blank space provided on the order form, then tax will not be charged. Once we download your order, we will verify that we have a current sales tax certificate on file for you. If not, please mail this to us so we have it on file.

CATALOGUE: We don't offer a paper catalogue at this time. Our complete catalogue is available as a pdf file. Please email us at wmsb@cableone.net and request a current catalogue.

CHECKS: We do not accept personal checks. Checks will have the word VOID written across it and returned. CREDIT: If we owe you money for any reason we will credit the credit card on file. Please check your credit card statement for any credits due you. We cannot apply credits to future orders. Credits will be processed within 3 business days. If a refund check is requested, it may take up to two weeks to process.

EMAIL ADDRESS--YOURS: If you wish to receive an order confirmation, a copy of the invoice once we ship and tracking information, please make sure that you enter a correctly spelled and functioning email address. Please make sure you add wmsb@cableone.com to your list of allowed incoming emails, we will not reply to emails asking us to click on a link in order to allow our email to go through. On numerous occasions customers provide misspelled or obsolete email addresses and this means we will not be able to maintain an open channel of communication with the customer.

INVOICES: We will email the final invoice once an order ships. An invoice will only be corrected when a product is out of stock, you made additions to the original order, or shipping and handling charge quoted by the shopping cart is too high or too low. Please keep in mind that if additional charges are due, we will not charge your credit card a second time until the invoice is finalized.

MISLABELED PRODUCTS: We're all human. Once in a while there may be an incident in which a product may be mislabeled. It is the customer's responsibility to inspect all products received from us BEFORE using them. We will not be able to reimburse the customer because he/she uses a mislabeled ingredient. We cannot stress this enough. Check the product before using. If you receive an item that is mislabeled, notify us at once. After thirty days, all sales are considered final. There are no exceptions.

QUALITY OF LABELED PRODUCTS: We try very hard to produce handmade products of the highest quality we can craft. We make every effort to list the ingredients of each product clearly on the product label. Labels are applied to our products by hand, not by machine. Therefore, their centering and aesthetic appeal may differ from individual to individual item and from batch to bath—this is to be expected.

WEIGHT OF SOAP BARS: We list the weight of our soap bars as a minimum to be expected if all the water used in production evaporates from the bar. Most of our bars of soap weight more than the minimum expected weight. They will be natural variety in the size and volume of soap bars because of current humidity condition and age of the soap.

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS: We are very serious about our intellectual property and we hope you are, too. The written text and graphic images of this web site and all our products are the property of White Mountain Soap & Bath. Theft of this intellectual property is considered copyright infringement and is punishable by law.
